The perfect time to visit the Abel Tasman

If you are travelling right now in the South Island, this is the perfect time to visit the Abel Tasman National Park.
The sun is out, the weather is warm (expected high of 25 today) AND lots of holiday makers have gone home to unpack their barbies and mow the lawns.

Mary Jo saying lovely things about Kayaking in the Abel Tasman

Hi Maureen, Brad and all at SKC

Thanks so much for such a memorable trip. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment and morsel of it, including our unscheduled parking on the rocks at various intervals and even our minor drama on the high seas!
Loved the walk out from Puketea Bay on Wed 30 Dec and made it to Marahau in under 3hrs, just in time for bus to Nelson. Thanks for organising this, and let me know if I owe you anything for it.
Suffering kayak withdrawal symptoms; e.g. as I was bussing to Christchurch, kept looking longingly at the coastline! The experience totally changed the way I look at the sea, and certainly gave me a new respect. My paddling buddy Kelly and I hope to do another trip sometime in future.

Can you please pass this email onto Brad; he rocked on the water as well as behind the gas stove!

He also gave me one of your maps so I wouldn't get lost on the track which I will send back soon as post office opens again.

Happy New Year!

Mary-Jo Tohill (MOJO)
